Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
While digitisation is a much broader and long term initiative, RPA is a process of automating labour intensive and manual processes which can be mimicked by a software.
For instance, developing manual reports, data entry and expense management can be automated by deploying bots (algorithms or a software) which can mimic human actions to complete these tasks with higher speed and accuracy. Similarly, using chatbots instead of humans to resolve basic (level 1) queries goes a long way towards improving customer experience as it can be made available 24×7.
Intuit helps its clients with reviewing its existing processes and identifying areas where it’d deploy a bot. It’d start with identifying a pilot process and followed by execution across other areas.
